SHORT BIO

VYONYNE grew up in a family of artists. Starting from her great-grandfather Wangyun Zhao, a founder of the Chang’an School of Painting, her family has pioneered the traditional norm of communicating emotions through art. Her grandfather and father are well known composers in China for the symphonic and film scores that incorporate Chinese ethnic elements. Since 2000, They have been collaborating with the Silk Road Ensemble founded by the renowned musician Yo-Yo Ma. The works they have composed continue to be performed around the world.
